How much does Casambi cost? Are there any running costs?

The good news: Casambi has NO running costs and does not require monthly subscriptions.

Casambi cost structure:

1. Hardware costs (one-off)
The only costs are incurred by the purchase of Casambi devices: Casambi modules (CBU-TED, CBU-ASD, CBU-PWM) for existing luminaires Casambi-compatible luminaires from partner manufacturers (Occhio, Foscarini, etc.) Optional: Casambi gateway or Matter bridge for remote control.

Prices vary depending on the manufacturer and scope. We are happy to offer you comprehensive advice on cost optimization.

2. Installation costs (optional)
There are no ongoing costs for using Casambi. The only costs are the purchase of the equipment and possibly the cost of installation by an electrician or professional.

Professional installation: Depending on the electrician (usually 50–200 CHF/hour)

Good news: Since Casambi does not require new control cables, installation is significantly cheaper than classic KNX or Loxone systems.

Software & App (FREE)
The Casambi app is available for free on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. There are no in-app purchases or premium features.

Optional: Gateway for remote control
For control from outside your home, you will need optionally:
- Casambi gateway: ~100–200 CHF (one-time)
- Matter bridge: ~150–250 CHF (one-time)
- X-Moment voice gateway: ~150–300 CHF (for Alexa integration)

These are optional and not necessary for local control via app.
